A Blogging Tip and a Meet-Up!

I read somewhere that when we write with pen and paper, our emotions and true self come out more. I don't know if it's true or not, but I have always been one of those people that writes out papers, then types them. Writes out important emails, then types them. I even wrote out my COMPS (test for my Masters) and then typed them! The test was on the computer, but I knew that I did my best work, writing it all out first. I *think* I like it because I can edit what I write, easier. Or, I just like the old school way-probably from keeping a Journal for so many years!
When I saw this quote, it reminded me of how I used to write.

When's the last time you wrote a letter? It has been YEARS for me! I definitely still write cards...I L.O.V.E. cards. Getting and giving.
I love how this quote reminds us how a blog post should be like a letter. I love reading blogs!
Look over to the right and down a bit. Those are some of my favorites! Reading blogs is wonderful, but meeting the authors of some amazing blogs is even better!
This past Saturday, I was able to attend the So Cal Blogger Meetup in Newport Beach, hosted by Easy Teaching Tools and Ramona Recommends. When I first saw the invitation for this on Instagram, I thought, "Oh my, I wan to go!!!" Then, of course, I thought, "No, I can't, I'll be too nervous!!!"
The meet-up was changed to the Cheesecake Factory,
I kept thinking about the meet-up and remembering how amazing these meet-ups seem when I read about them on Instagram or on other blogs. Everyone always looks like thery are having a FANTASTIC time! Still, the nerves were doing their job! I think I waited until the last day to RSVP. But, I did. I decided it was time to do this in real life. Not, just sitting behind a computer screen!
I LOVE teaching, blogging, and creating!!!
Plus, I just kept thinking how amazing it would be to meet so many other teachers who feel the same way!
I knew I had to go! As the day got closer, the nerves subsided and I began to get super excited!!!

I also decided that I wanted to bring a little goodie bag for everyone, just as my way to say, "I'm so excited to meet you!" Just in case my nerves got the best of me! Luckily, they didn't. And the bags seemed to be a big hit!

I started with what I wanted to put in the bag...I knew I wanted to write a little card, so I knew I needed items that could turn into a cute saying! Once I started with an idea, the rest just came to me!
A fun little card that incorporated all of the goodies!
Some yummy Sweedish Fish, with my blog information!

Pointers! I used stickers that I found at JoAnns and Michaels! I attached them to straws I found at Target! I also put the stickers back to back!

I found the colored clothes pins at Michaels. I found the flower stickers at Target. I attached the sticker to the clothes pin!

I also added Starburst and a crazy straw to the bag!
This was so much fun to make! I am so glad everyone loved them!

A few other bloggers also brought some fun, little treats!

Ramona Recommends brought these perfect little cookies! So cute!!!

Teaching and Much Moore brought these little cuties!

Aunties Sweet Life brought this adorable tea!

I just love everyone's creativity!
